Hello there! My name is Julian Mehnle and I was born in 1978. I live in Munich, Germany, Europe, marked by the red dot on the Earth picture to the right. ;-)
I have a lot of enthusiasm for all kinds of technical things — the internet, computer hardware and software in particular —, for sociology and national and global politics, and for fundamental and universal sciences and science fiction.
Technical University of Munich has awarded me the degree of Diplom-Informatiker (equivalent to a M.Sc. in Computer Science). I am particularly proficient in Perl software development, relational database design, PostgreSQL database development, optimization, and administration, as well as Debian (and, by extension, GNU/Linux) system administration.
I currently work as a spam fighting software engineer with San Bruno (CA) based IronPort Systems, which is now part of Cisco Systems.
This web site runs on Apache/2.2.16 (Debian), and is made of 100% browser ignorant XHTML and CSS.
